Diversity and inclusion: a core pillar at responsAbility
responsAbility institutionalized its diversity and inclusion advisory group (D&I group) in 2020. Comprised of five staff-elected employees serving a 2-year term, this dedicated team is tasked with championing initiatives that foster a more diverse and inclusive work environment.
Working closely with of the Head of Human Resources and liaising with Executive Management, the D&I group actively examines and advises on internal policies and processes to support inclusivity. The group’s mission is to develop actionable plans and D&I initiatives that can be implemented throughout the company.
Some of the planned actions for the coming year include another thorough pay gap analysis across responsAbility’s various global offices and launch initiatives to encourage a more gender-balanced workforce, particularly at senior levels. Their approach includes ongoing internal training sessions on ‘identifying and managing bias in the work place’ as well as supplying D&I materials for all new employees. Each year, the Head of HR publishes an annual report of shared activities, highlighting actions and progress in areas such as D&I awareness, recruitment, career development, equal remuneration and staff retention.

responsAbility also values the unique perspectives and contributions of the LGBTQ+ community, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. To further this commitment, the company hosted an allyship training workshop last year to raise internal awareness and promote LGBTQ+ inclusion.
Through these comprehensive efforts, the D&I groups aims to create a working environment where all employees feel valued and proud to belong.
